Anne-Catrin Wahls, born in 1985 in Parchim, East Germany, former GDR, is a versatile artist who is at home in the world of music, theater, and film. Growing up in a musical family, she discovered her passion for the performing arts at an early age. At the age of eight, she began singing in the Protestant church choir and supplemented her musical education with singing and piano lessons.

By the age of 14, she took the step onto the stage and worked as a guest at the Young State Theater Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Her talent did not go unnoticed, and she received a scholarship from musical star Uwe Kröger, which allowed her to attend the renowned Joop van den Ende Academy in Hamburg. There, she trained for four years to become a state-certified performer in acting, singing, and dance.

At 20, an exciting chapter in Anne-Catrin’s career began: she toured the world for three years with the American symphonic metal band KAMELOT. This time took her through 18 European countries, the USA, Canada, and Russia, where she performed at numerous festivals. To further develop her skills, she moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her education in acting, Bikram yoga, and the English language. She also benefited from the valuable experiences of renowned acting coach Larry Moss, who has worked with stars like Helen Hunt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Since 2006, Anne-Catrin has resided in Berlin, where she has made a name for herself in the vibrant theater scene of the capital. She has appeared in numerous guest engagements, including at the Berliner Ensemble, Renaissance Theater Berlin, Schlosspark Theater Berlin, Theater Lübeck, Landesbühne Rheinland-Pfalz, Theater Vorpommern, Theater Altenburg-Gera, and many more.

Her roles have included the lead as „Girl from East Berlin“ in Udo Lindenberg’s play Hinterm Horizont, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Effi in Effi Briest, and Edith von Kekesfalva in Stefan Zweig’s The Impatience of the Heart. She also impressed critics in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard as Betty Schaefer and as Marlene Dietrich in Spatz und Engel. In addition to her theater work, Anne-Catrin regularly appears on camera for well-known German film and television series.

In 2024, she became part of the legendary ensemble of „The Threepenny Opera“ at the Berliner Ensemble, one of Germany’s most traditional theaters founded by Bertolt Brecht.

In December 2024, the highly anticipated musical „Ludwig²“ will make its debut on the cultural stage of Shanghai (China). At the Culture Square Theatre, Anne-Catrin will embody the iconic roles of Sisi and Sophie in Bavaria, supported by a 65-piece symphony orchestra.

Alongside her artistic career, Anne-Catrin is also committed to animal welfare and has a great passion for history. Her athletic abilities are not only showcased on stage but also in bowling, where she earned the title of German champion.
